Apple has moved on to the third round for the current-gen developer betas, with new builds of iOS 18.6, iPadOS 18.6, macOS 15.6, watchOS 11.6, tvOS 18.6, and visionOS 2.6 now available for testing.

This is a second beta-testing track for Apple, running alongside the main milestone update version, putting iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26 through their paces.

  • iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 beta 3 is build 22G5073b, replacing 22G5064d
  • macOS Sequoia 15.6 beta 3 is build 24G5074c, replacing 24G5065c
  • tvOS 18.6 beta 3 is build 22M5074b, replacing 22M5065b
  • watchOS 11.6 beta 3 is build 22U5074b, replacing 22U5065c
  • visionOS 2.6 beta 3 is build 22O5773b, replacing 22O5764b

The content of these developer betas are, as you would expect, minimal due to the main focus for new features being on the fall software releases. However, they are likely to include performance and security updates as usual.

ÌÇÐÄVlog and Apple itself strongly advise that users do not install beta operating systems or other software being tested on what they consider "mission-critical" or primary hardware, due to the ever-present danger of bugs and issues that could result in the loss of data. As always recommended, testers should use secondary or non-essential devices, and to make sure there are sufficient backups available of their data.
