In this week's episode of HomeKit Insider, we discuss new HomeKit products coming from Nanolead and Philips Hue, take a look at Belkin's new MagSafe solution, and tease a guest for next week's episode.
Apple released iOS 15.3 this past week and it was largely an unexciting update. It does however enable one smart home feature, which is enabling Siri to recognize up to six voices in additional countries.
Nanoleaf also announced a new partnership with Hafa to create a smart mirror that integrates the company's lighting tech into a traditional mirror. It will work with HomeKit, but Thread support is still up in the air.
Signify's Philips Hue brand expanded with a trio of new outdoor lighting solutions, building smart lights into exterior sconces.
While not HomeKit, we also went hands-on with the new Belkin BoostCharge Wireless Charging Pad with MagSafe. We decided we love the product, but the price is hard to stomach.
Since the last episode, Stephen's Thread-enabled Wemo Stage arrived and he shared his initial feedback and how he's using it to trigger a music scene on HomePod.
