On this episode of the HomeKit Insider Podcast we go over another new smart lock from Kwikset, talk about the viral iPhone StandBy dock, and test the Govee smart ice maker.

Kwikset has launched the new Halo Select smart lock that works over Wi-Fi or can use Matter over Thread. It's a compact retrofit lock that also has a built-in exterior keypad.

Ecobee has also announced a new smart lock endeavor, integrating with Assa Abloy brands August and Yale. You can now unlock your compatible smart lock directly from the live view.

The viral 3D printed iPhone dock by Scott Yu-Jan is now being made available for preorder by Overwerk, which has modified it to work with more phone models, both versions of Apple's MagSafe charger, and even some cases.

Controller for HomeKit, the popular iPhone and iPad app, was updated to version 7.2 which added a bunch of new features, including support for TVs and integration in Control Center.

Finally, we go hands-on with the Govee ice maker that will soon be updated with Matter support. Right now it is controlled through the Govee app, but it is still a smart product worth considering.
