Apple has proven that it's sports mad by making a slightly crazy new app, while Apple Vision Pro is still giving up secrets, and we may — or may not — be about to get another new Apple platform.
Forget visionOS and the Apple Vision Pro, Apple has launched a new sports app — and is rumored to be this close to bringing out an Apple Smart Ring. There's a surprising amount to say about Apple Sports, and quite a lot to dismiss in the Apple Ring claims, yet both tell us a lot about where Apple is today.
Somewhere between the Apple Sports app that launched this week and the ring that may not ever come, there are Apple announcements to expect in the next few weeks. Most especially we can expect new iPads and it appears that they are going to be startlingly thin.
Plus we're still learning about the Apple Vision Pro — and if you have exactly the right type of car, you will soon see changes in CarPlay when iOS 17.4 comes out of beta in March.
