Apple has released a revised version of iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 developer beta 4 that matches the build sent out for public testing.

Apple released the fourth developer betas of the OS 26 updates on July 22, but some of the public betas released Thursday have a slightly newer build. So, Apple has also released updated developer beta 4 versions for iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 to match.

The new iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 build is 23A5297m, up from 23A5297i. It isn't yet known what differences there are, if any, from the previous build.

There has been a lot of controversy around Apple's opinionated Liquid Glass redesign, which spurred Apple to pull back in beta 3. However, developer beta 4 brought back some of the more aggressive design aspects that lead to legibility issues.

Alongside the redesign and range of iOS 26 updates, developer beta 4 includes access to a dynamic wallpaper, the return of the filter unknown callers feature, and more. Even if it is tempting, ÌÇÐÄVlog strongly suggests sitting out the beta cycle and waiting for the public release, especially on primary devices.
