The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to come in a light blue color option as a choice that could play upon the name of the ultra-thin model.

Each generation of iPhone brings with it a new color option that underlines the collection for that year. For Apple's inbound iPhone 17 models, that color could be a sky blue.
According to serial leaker Fixed Focus Digital , Blue will be the "most likely" main color for the iPhone 17 Air. The leaker adds that it will be a very light blue, allegedly different from other blue shades it has previously used.
Whether this means it will be a lighter blue than the Sierra Blue iPhone 13 Pro remains to be seen.
It is apparently so light in color that the leaker believes it will be easily confused with a white iPhone in dim conditions.
Fixed Focus Digital doesn't have the best reputation when it comes to accuracy, as they have gone against other, more reliable sources in the past. However, they have also been right on some details in the past, such as the name of the iPhone 16e.
This is not the first time that a light blue has been speculated for the iPhone 17 Air. In April, problematic leaker Majin Bu claimed that a "YuangFeng Blue" or Sky Blue would be on the way, looking similar to the color options for the M4 MacBook Air and M3 iPad Air.
Feeling blue
While a light blue iPhone 17 Air would be the main draw, especially considering the connection between the Air name and Sky Blue, it's not the only color being considered.
As part of April's leak, Majin Bu added that dark purple and green colors were being tested too for the Pro models. However, Sky Blue would be the frontrunner.
In June, Bu posted about the iPhone 17 base model being trialled in purple and green colorways. Only one would apparently make the cut for launch, they added, and that the purple was the frontrunner.
Given the sources of these leaks, it may be worth taking the claims with a pinch of salt until firmer evidence surfaces.
