There's no question but that the new iPad Pro is a remarkable device and the new iPad Air is a fine, lower-cost alternative. But especially with the iPad Pro and its M4 processor, it is yet again a case of the iPad's software feeling as if it lags very far behind the hardware.
This time, though, Apple launched this powerful new iPad Pro just weeks before it announces the next major update to iPadOS. WWDC is just moments away now and amongst everything else to do with AI, the Mac, the iPhone, the Apple Watch, and the Apple Vision Pro, iPad users are going to be watching with their fingers crossed.
