Apple's website leaks hints of impending Apple Pay support in Germany

Hints from its website suggest that Apple is on the verge of announcing Apple Pay for Germany, filling in one of several major gaps in its European coverage.

Searching for "Apple Pay" on the company's German site , a Reddit user late Thursday. One of these, more importantly, is an link, which curently leads to an inactive page.

Apple is also said to have accidentally highlighted Germany in a global coverage map dated Oct. 10. The present graphic omitting Germany was created a week later, implying that Apple took some time to spot the mistake.

German Apple Pay could be revealed at Apple's . Just a handful of European countries have the technology at the moment, the others being France, Switzerland, and the U.K. Apple has promised access in Spain by the end of the year.
